GPS Certification Program |
The Green Check National (Canada) GPS Certification Program Be Safe! Learn to be a confident navigator, as well as to communicate positions competently with the Green Check National GPS Certification Program.

This program certifies participants through one or more levels of a three level evaluation process, in a similar way to CPR and First Aid certification. Successful participants are registered in an international database, valid for three years.
Level 1 The most important aspect of all training and certification is the understanding of the relationship between the GPS unit, the map and the compass.
Level 2 The collection and "cleaning up" and the enriching of data in the field.
Level 3 A pathway to GIS.
The Canadian Ecology Centre In Mattawa, Ontario is the base for the Green Check National GPS Certification Program.
Courses are available at the Canadian Ecology Centre and certified instructors located across Canada can provide courses in your area.
A new online/distance Level 1 certification course is also available.
Many organizations recognize and recommend the National GPS Certification Program's approach to teaching GPS/GIS foundations.
