Mattawa Voyageur Country provides excellent hunting opportunities for Moose, Black bear and White-tailed deer as well as for a range of small game species such as Ruffed Grouse.
The landscape is covered with conifer and broadleaved trees and dotted with innumerable lakes.
The two Wildlife Management Units (WMU) of 41 and 48 includes the townships of Bonfield, Calvin, Papineau-Cameron, Mattawan and Mattawa.

There is an extensive network of trails with hundreds of kilometres accessible via ATV together with supporting businesses such as ATV sales and repairs.
A number of local outfitters provide hunting services and most supplies can be purchased from the local town of Mattawa.
